Adam S. Weltz, M.D., F.A.C.S is a board-certified general surgeon. Dr. Weltz is a graduate of University of Maryland Medical Center / University of Maryland School of Medicine where he completed his general surgery residency training with distinction. He completed his Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Anne Arundel Medical Center. During residency he won numerous awards including the Intern of the Year award, the American College of Surgeons Leadership and Advocacy Scholarship award, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Outstanding Resident Achievement award and several awards for excellence in teaching and clinical research. Dr. Weltz has been a member of the Acute Care Surgery team here at Luminis Health since 2018. In addition to his clinical responsibilities he is the Associate Program Director for the Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) general surgery residency program, the Medical Director for the James and Sylvia Earl Simulation to Advance Innovation and Learning (SAIL) center and a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
