Dr. Karim has been with Luminis Health since 2020. He attended medical school at the University of Maryland and completed a general surgery residency from the State University of New York at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2019. He went on to complete a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo General Hospital in 2020. Dr. Karim joined Luminis Health directly out of fellowship and now works with the Acute Care Surgery team.
Effective January 2, 2026, masks are expected to be worn by all staff, patients, and visitors in all Luminis Health clinical locations.
