Dr. Kim is a board-certified general surgeon. After graduating from University of Michigan, he attended University of Iowa for medical school. He then completed his general surgery residency and research fellowship at University of Cincinnati. Afterward, he finished his minimally invasive surgery fellowship focusing on laparoscopy and robotic surgeries in hernias and benign foregut disease at /Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. Following his fellowship, he joined Luminis Health as a GI/MIS surgeon specializing in general and minimally invasive procedures. He is particularly interested in benign foregut disease such as gastroesophageal reflux disease and hiatal hernias as well as complex hernias and abdominal wall reconstruction.
