Maia Tavadze, MD, FACP, FHM, serves as a core faculty member and POCUS course director in the internal medicine residency program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University, completed her internal medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic, Main Campus, and served as chief resident at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. She is fluent in Georgian, Russian and English and learning Spanish. Her clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) use in internal medicine education, care of oncologic patients, innovation in medical education and clinical problem solving, and mentoring medical students and residents. She served as a sub-investigator for clinical trials at Luminis health. She has been elected as a fellow at both the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
