Deneen Richmond is the president at Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham, Maryland, and serves as the Chief Quality, Equity & Population Health Officer for Luminis Health. Deneen has more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience including prior senior leadership roles at Anne Arundel Health System, Inova Health System, Holy Cross Hospital, the Delmarva Foundation, and the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Deneen is passionate about improving the health of our communities, promoting health equity, and eradicating health disparities. Her impactful work has garnered significant attention from both local and national media. As a recent colorectal cancer survivor, Deneen has openly shared her personal journey across various platforms. She is dedicated to patient advocacy, breaking the stigma, and educating others about colorectal cancer.Deneen serves as adjunct faculty at the George Washington University, Milken School of Public Health in the Executive Master’s in Health Administration Program. She authored two chapters—Health Equity and Diversity and Population Health—in the fifth edition of The Healthcare Quality Book, published in 2023.Deneen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades, including being named one of Modern Healthcare’s 2024 Diversity Leaders; a “2004 Up and Comer” by Modern Healthcare; and, a recipient of the Women Who Mean Business Award from the Washington Business Journal. Additionally, she has been honored as a Distinguished Healthcare Leader by the National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE) in Washington, DC; a Distinguished Alumni of the Year by the University of the District of Columbia National Alumni Society; a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award by the George Washington University MHA Alumni Association; and, the Healthcare Advocacy Award from the Bi-County Business Roundtable.Deneen serves on numerous professional committees and workgroups. She currently serves on the board of the Maryland Patient Safety Center and The Healthcare Council.

J. Manuel "Manny" Ocasio is Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Luminis Health. Manny serves as the executive leader overseeing strategic and operational Human Resources (HR) plans across the health system. His responsibilities include Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Health, Learning & Development, and Diversity & Inclusion. He and his team work to build a positive culture to engage all employees in Luminis Health’s success.
Prior to joining Luminis Health, Manny has served as the Chief Human Resources and Compliance Officer and the Chief Human Resources and Integrity Officer at various health care organizations. He has lead HR programs focused on talent acquisition and development, succession planning, compensation, organizational development, HR information systems, employee relations, and benefits design and administration.
Manny is a Strategy & Innovation PhD candidate at International School of Management. He holds an Information and Telecommunications Systems post master’s certificate from Johns Hopkins University, has a Juris Doctor degree from University of Maryland School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.

Timothy Adelman, Esq., is chief administrative officer and chief legal officer for Luminis Health.Adelman comes to Luminis Health from Indianapolis-based Hall, Render, Killian, Heath and Lyman, P.C., the largest law firm focused exclusively on healthcare law in the United States, where he served as managing partner.A nationally recognized leader in the health-law industry, Adelman, who also served on the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) Foundation Board of Directors, recently completed a six-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Health Lawyers Association. He now leads the association’s 2030 Task Force to look at the evolution of the healthcare industry and health-law industry over the next decade.A contributing author of the Hearing Officer's Guidebook and author of its 2010 supplement, Adelman is frequently asked to present around the country on issues relating to credentialing, peer review and regulatory compliance.Adelman holds a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and an MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. He earned his BA with honors from Franklin and Marshall College.
