Adrian Park, M.D.
Founder and Chairman
Adrian Park, M.D., is the founder and chairman of the The James and Sylvia Earl Simulation to Advance Innovation and Learning Center (SAIL). He is an international leader and expert in the field of minimally invasive surgery. At Anne Arundel Medical Center, he is responsible for leading the growth of surgical services and fostering innovation and learning in the department. With more than 20 patents to his credit, Dr. Park has made major advancements in the improvement of laparoscopic procedures and the development of new medical devices for complex hernia repair, spleen and adrenal surgery.
Each month, Dr. Park co-directs an international telecast called, “Innovations in Surgery,” broadcast to top medical centers in the U.S., the U.K., France, Israel, Argentina, Brazil, and the Middle East. Hosted through the Cleveland Clinic, the telecast brings together the world’s best surgeons to discuss innovative surgical techniques and issues.
Dr. Park is continually advancing the field to make it less invasive, more efficient, better for patients and better for surgeons who perform these technically challenging procedures. He has authored more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters and is co-editor in chief of the journal Surgical Innovations.
