Nargiz Muganlinskaya, MD, MMS, FACP, is the program director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Anne Arundel Medical Center and serves on the Governing Council of the Maryland Chapter of the American College of Physicians. She is fluent in English, Russian, Turkish, and Azeri — and continues to learn Hebrew. Dr. Muganlinskaya completed her medical degree at Azerbaijan State Medical University, her Master’s in Medical Science at Saint Francis University, Pa., and her training in internal medicine at MedStar Health. Her research interests include clinical reasoning and diagnostic errors in medicine, innovative approaches in academic and clinical medical education, and mentoring for a successful career in medicine. And in her role as a medical educator, she’s led and mentored numerous projects including nationwide surveys of internal medicine residencies on faculty development opportunities, and projects on reducing diagnostic error via educating internal medicine physicians-in-training. Dr. Muganlinskaya is recognized for her work in clinical and educational fields. She was a recipient of the Early Career Physician Award presented by the American College of Physicians in 2018 and was also named Top Doc by Baltimore Magazine in both 2018 and 2019.
