Dr. Spirt also holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Iowa. Dr. Spirt specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle problems. She has published many medical papers on the biomechanics of cartilage and bone and ankle surgery and continues active research on the subject.
