Dr. Stitely was also part of Fleet Surgical Team 1 and a trauma surgeon at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, American Medical Association and The Maryland State Medical Society. Dr. Stitely has been awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Ribbon and National Defense Service Ribbon. He was named a "Top Doc" by What's Up Eastern Shore. Dr. Stitely earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. He studied synthetic organic chemistry at the University's graduate school and earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
