Dr. Lashgari has an extensive interest in conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow. He joined the team of orthopaedists at The Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in August 2002, coming from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri after completing a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College, Dr. Lashgari completed medical school at New York University in 1996 where he graduated with the Golver C. Arnold surgical award and honors from the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in 2001 where he earned the Resident Teacher's award. Dr. Lashgari is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Lashgari is a founding member of the Association of Clinical Elbow and Shoulder Surgeons ( http://www.acess.co ). In addition to an annual scientific meeting, this group of over 30 shoulder and elbow specialists from across the nation regularly review complicated shoulder and elbow cases through the discussion forum on their website. Dr. Lashgari is also a co-chair of the Mid-Atlantic Shoulder Surgeon Case Conference. This conference gathers leading shoulder and elbow surgeons in the mid Atlantic region together to review cases and the latest advances in shoulder and elbow surgery.

Dr. Young Joo Lee is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist with extensive patient care and research experience, including clinical trials in many different cancer types. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology, Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She has worked in large academic cancer centers as well as community cancer programs in the greater Baltimore-Annapolis region for more than 20 years. A graduate of Brazil’s Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul Medical School, Dr. Lee completed her internal medicine training and hematology oncology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She also completed training through Harvard Medical School Structural Acupuncture Program for Physicians. She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Maryland/District of Columbia Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Lee is passionate about providing the most effective cancer therapies with minimal toxicity and is a strong proponent of integrating the wisdom of other traditional healing practices into modern medicine.

She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Georgetown University. During her final year of residency, she served as academic chief resident. Dr. Leslie has a special interest in all facets of obstetrical care, operative laparoscopy and adolescent gynecology. She is a devoted wife and mother.
