Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Rodriguez completed his undergraduate studies in Pre-Medical Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico. He subsequently completed his medical studies and performed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at New York Medical College where he was elected Chief Resident during his senior year. In 2013 and 2014 he was awarded the Joji Sakuma, MD award in honor of Dr. Sakuma’s years of service as a distinguished clinician and teacher in the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation. During his residency training, he developed a special interest in spine disorders and musculoskeletal injuries and underwent additional training, completing an interventional spine and pain management fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Rodriguez speaks fluent Spanish and has been a medical advocate to the Hispanic community helping them with spine and musculoskeletal medical problems.

Kwasi Sharif, MD, specializes in non-interventional spine care at Anne Arundel Medical Group Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialists. Dr. Sharif was born in Washington D.C, was raised in Princeton, New Jersey, and he completed his pre-medical studies at Hampton University in Virginia. Dr. Sharif completed a one year internship and a Physiatry residency at the prestigious Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Hospital. He also trained at the Children’s hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), which has been ranked as the best children's hospital in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and Parents Magazine in recent years. He has also completed numerous research projects during his training, involving interventional spine care and inpatient rehabilitation. Dr. Sharif holds membership with American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is Board Certified with the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Furthermore, Dr. Sharif enjoys all aspects of physical medicine and rehabilitation, but his focus is Non-Operative Spine Management. He also conducts Electromyography (EMG) studies in his Annapolis Office and performs trigger point injections for myofascial pain management. Moreover, Dr. Sharif looks forward to establishing relationships with the community and is also eager to cultivate relationships with referring physicians in the region. In his free time, He enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and their dog, Gabriel.

Dr. Speciale's interest lies in full spectrum care of the spine and its disorders. After completing a fellowship in spine surgery at Duke University in Durham, NC, he joined the Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in September of 2000. Since his arrival, he has performed over 3000 spine operations. He was Board Certified in July 2002 and recertified in 2011 by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2011 he was named the medical director of the Anne Arundel Medical Center Spine Program. An undergraduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, Dr. Speciale graduated with honors from the George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC in 1994. He went on to complete a five year orthopaedic surgery residency at GW before his fellowship year at Duke. Dr. Speciale strives to remain on the cutting edge of the rapidly developing field of spine surgery. He maintains an association with many professional societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He has a special interest in spinal deformity surgery and has trained with some of the foremost spine surgeons in the world. In addition to traditional spine surgery techniques, he performs minimally invasive spine surgery including lateral access lumbar fusion surgery, disc replacement surgery, dynamic stabilization and balloon kyphoplasty. He is currently involved in various research projects and teaching endeavors. Dr. Speciale has been on the staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center since September 2000. He lives in Annapolis with his wife and 3 children.

Dr. Ove completed his professional military career at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis from 1988 to 1995, before joining The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center, LLC in December 1995. As a former Orthopaedic Surgeon and Team Physician at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Dr Ove specializes in Sports Medicine, especially in the area of arthroscopic surgery and ligament reconstruction of the knee and shoulder, and he continues to practice these specialty in his present private practice. Dr. Ove completed his orthopaedic training at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia with emphasis on trauma and Sports Medicine. Additional medical assignments have included a tour during the Persian Gulf War. He continued his Navy career as a Naval Reserve Officer and as an active consultant at the U.S. Naval Academy and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland until 2004, before retiring fully from the military into civilian life. Dr. Ove is Board certified, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. He holds privileges at the Anne Arundel Medical Center where he is a member of the orthopaedic service. A native Montanian, Dr. Ove grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978 and 1982. During those years, he became an avid runner, tennis and squash player, and nordic and downhill skier, pursuits he continues to enjoy today.
