CenteringPregnancy® Group Prenatal Care Whether you're a first-time parent or not, a supportive community is key to staying grounded during the ups and downs of pregnancy. This is why we offer the option of a group prenatal care program called CenteringPregnancy ® ., CenteringPregnancy ® sessions take the place of the traditional 1:1 visits and allow you two hours of shared time with your OB provider. You will be grouped with a small number of other parents who are all due around the same time. During each of the ten Centering sessions, you will receive your health assessment, followed by a group discussion facilitated by your OB provider. You will learn more about your pregnancy, develop an instant support system, and become better prepared for your labor, birth, and postpartum experience. Experts at the Centering Healthcare Institute designed the Centering Pregnancy model of care to empower you in your health care. Evidence shows that CenteringPregnancy ® : Improves birth outcomes and breastfeeding rates Reduces racial disparities in preterm births Improves patient satisfaction You will make lifelong friendships in a Centering Pregnancy group! Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) gives you the expertise and opportunities you need to advance your career in the specialized field of breast surgery.
Our breast specialists perform more than 7,000 clinical encounters and care for over 600 patients with breast cancer. As a fellow in this program, you will have the opportunity to perform more than 400 surgical procedures including nipple-sparing, skin-sparing, and aesthetically flat closure mastectomies, ultrasound- and image-guided biopsies, image-guided partial mastectomies, and reconstructive surgery assists. In clinic, you will be able to care for a broad range of patients faced with breast conditions both benign and malignant.
In the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship program, our approach to teaching is no different than our approach to patient care: kind and supportive. We train our fellows to be leaders in breast surgical care, advocate for patients and work at the forefront of breast disease research.
Goals
As a fellow in our Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship program you will have the ability to:
