Jeffrey Denton, MD, is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. A native of east Tennessee, he came to the Eastern Shore in 1995 to fulfill an obligation for a National Health Service Corps scholarship. He practiced for five years at Choptank Community Health Systems based in Caroline County and was the medical director for his last three years. In 2000, he transitioned to private practice in Talbot County and was one of the four founding partners of River Family Physicians. He enjoys providing a full-spectrum of health care services to families in the area.

Gayle Hopper, MD is a Pennsylvania native whose medical journey began with a bachelor’s and master’s in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Delaware, where she later taught courses in biology, microbiology, and anatomy & physiology. She is a board-certified family medicine physician who earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She has conducted research in cancer prevention and lead poisoning, as well as developed expertise in women's health. Serving patients brings purpose and fulfillment to her life. Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, paddleboarding, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite thing to do is dinner and a movie.
