She joined Luminis Health Midwifery in 2021 after graduating from Frontier Nursing University. She completed her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland School of Nursing. Prior to becoming a midwife, Shayna spent 12 years as a nurse, most of which were at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Labor and Delivery unit, caring for the many families in the community she calls home. Shayna has always had a passion for women’s health. She loves empowering women both in the birthing space as well as in the office in regards to contraceptive care, fertility management, well visits, and mental health assessment. In her free time, Shayna loves to travel with her husband and 2 kids.
