She works closely with Dr. Patton, assisting with surgical cases and in the office with new patient consultations, pre and post-operative evaluations and follow-up care. Sarah’s background includes working as an emergency medical technician in Salisbury while attending Salisbury University and then in Baltimore before attending the University of Maryland Baltimore and Anne Arundel ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program. She graduated with her Master of Health Science degree as a physician assistant, and passed the national certifying exam. Following graduation from her masters program, she worked as a physician assistant in the emergency department at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland — where she gained even more experience caring for patients with a full spectrum of orthopedic conditions including spine disorders — before joining the AAMC team. Sarah currently resides in Baltimore where she maintains a very active lifestyle.
