Shayna Martinovich is a Certified Nurse Midwife as well as a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She joined Luminis Health Midwifery in 2021 after graduating from Frontier Nursing University. She completed her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland School of Nursing. Prior to becoming a midwife, Shayna spent 12 years as a nurse, most of which were at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Labor and Delivery unit, caring for the many families in the community she calls home. Shayna has always had a passion for women’s health. She loves empowering women both in the birthing space as well as in the office in regards to contraceptive care, fertility management, well visits, and mental health assessment. In her free time, Shayna loves to travel with her husband and 2 kids. She loves the outdoors and spends as much time outside as she can.

Teymi-Elise DeShay Herring, MPH, RDN, CDCES, is a registered dietitian nutritionist and diabetes care and education specialist. She earned a master’s in public health nutrition from the Loma Linda University School of Public Health. Teymi has spent time working in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private health programs. She also worked as a public health nutritionist with the City of Long Beach, CA and as a didactic program in dietetics program director and dietitian guiding students and seeing patients on a university campus. With her keen interest in guiding patients with diabetes who are ready to make changes in their own health trajectory, she utilizes patient-focused coaching sessions designed to support your goals and desires to improve life, nutrition, health and prevent disease progression. She has witnessed firsthand improvements in patient biomarkers and motivation and most importantly, quality of life. Education is essential in fostering behavioral changes and Herring believes anyone can improve his or her own health with her help. Music is one way Teymi, her husband and their two daughters enjoy time together. Teymi plays violin with various ensembles and orchestras in her spare time and teaches beginning violin to young learners.

Adam Sragg is a nurse practitioner with over five years of experience. After working in surgical nursing, he earned a master’s degree from Simmons University’s nurse practitioner program, allowing him to focus more on preventative medicine. Adam has worked as an adult primary care nurse practitioner for over two years with a diverse patient population. Born and raised in the Maryland area, Adam has done clinical work at a variety of local hospitals including Holy Cross Hospital, Adventist Healthcare White Oak Medical Center, Medstar Montgomery Medical Center, Children’s National Hospital, and other local primary care facilities. His position at Luminis Health gives him the opportunity to maintain his nursing passion and act as the patient’s advocate in a provider role. His main goal is to provide focused and individual patient care with an emphasis on education, compassion, concern, and encouragement. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, volunteering in his community, and engaging in activities such as hiking, boating, swimming, and singing. Dr. Howard is a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive training and experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He grew up in Anne Arundel County and graduated from Annapolis’ United States Naval Academy. After medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Medicine, he completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and the esteemed Emory University in Atlanta, respectively. He served as the Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Bethesda and the Plastic Surgery Consultant for the White House during his naval career. He is an expert in the full spectrum of breast reconstruction, limb salvage, and regenerative medicine, and has now joined the Luminis Health team, where he offers world-class care to patients in Anne Arundel County and beyond. Sarah Hall joined AAMC Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialists in 2019 as a physician assistant to Chad Patton, MD, spine surgeon and director of Spine Surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She works closely with Dr. Patton, assisting with surgical cases and in the office with new patient consultations, pre and post-operative evaluations and follow-up care. Sarah’s background includes working as an emergency medical technician in Salisbury while attending Salisbury University and then in Baltimore before attending the University of Maryland Baltimore and Anne Arundel ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program. She graduated with her Master of Health Science degree as a physician assistant, and passed the national certifying exam. Following graduation from her masters program, she worked as a physician assistant in the emergency department at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, Maryland — where she gained even more experience caring for patients with a full spectrum of orthopedic conditions including spine disorders — before joining the AAMC team. Sarah currently resides in Baltimore where she maintains a very active lifestyle. Her favorite activities include playing volleyball, surfing, and spending time with her family.
