Dr. Farshid Fargahi graduated from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran before pursuing further training in internal medicine through the College of Physicians in Melbourne, Australia. He continued his career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Fargahi then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at MedStar Health in Baltimore, where he participated in research and quality improvement projects. He continues to explore his interest in advancing healthcare and commitment to scholarly activity at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center. Among his research, Dr. Fargahi has contributed studies published in peer-reviewed journals covering diverse topics such as chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic necrosis, treatment strategies for alcohol withdrawal, and nationwide faculty development project on opportunities and strategies at US community-based teaching hospitals. Additionally, he continues efforts by conducting journal clubs and collaborating with the Maryland American College of Physicians to organize statewide journal club sessions, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the medical community. In his free time, he finds joy in staying active and spending time with his wife and two children.
