Originally from Northern Virginia, Katelyn began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse before relocating to the Eastern Shore in 2018, where she has practiced as a family nurse practitioner in primary care. Before her nursing career, Erin earned an undergraduate degree in health and exercise science from Wake Forest University, which laid the groundwork for her strong focus on preventive medicine. Erin began her nursing career in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she worked for four years while completing her Family Nurse Practitioner program. Afterward, she spent four years as a Nurse Practitioner at Jai Medical Center, a primary care clinic in Baltimore, before joining Luminis Health. She is passionate about primary care and enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients to support their journey to a happy, healthy life. Originally from Massachusetts, Erin lived in Baltimore for a decade before moving to the Eastern Shore. She enjoys the slower pace of life and spending more time outdoors with her dog. Erin moved with her husband and daughter and enjoys yoga, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends.

She earned a master’s in public health nutrition from the Loma Linda University School of Public Health. Teymi has spent time working in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private health programs. She also worked as a public health nutritionist with the City of Long Beach, CA and as a didactic program in dietetics program director and dietitian guiding students and seeing patients on a university campus. With her keen interest in guiding patients with diabetes who are ready to make changes in their own health trajectory, she utilizes patient-focused coaching sessions designed to support your goals and desires to improve life, nutrition, health and prevent disease progression. She has witnessed firsthand improvements in patient biomarkers and motivation and most importantly, quality of life. Education is essential in fostering behavioral changes and Herring believes anyone can improve his or her own health with her help. Music is one way Teymi, her husband and their two daughters enjoy time together. Teymi plays violin with various ensembles and orchestras in her spare time and teaches beginning violin to young learners.
