This is why we offer the option of a group prenatal care program called CenteringPregnancy ® ., CenteringPregnancy ® sessions take the place of the traditional 1:1 visits and allow you two hours of shared time with your OB provider. You will be grouped with a small number of other parents who are all due around the same time. During each of the ten Centering sessions, you will receive your health assessment, followed by a group discussion facilitated by your OB provider. You will learn more about your pregnancy, develop an instant support system, and become better prepared for your labor, birth, and postpartum experience. Experts at the Centering Healthcare Institute designed the Centering Pregnancy model of care to empower you in your health care. Evidence shows that CenteringPregnancy ® : Improves birth outcomes and breastfeeding rates Reduces racial disparities in preterm births Improves patient satisfaction You will make lifelong friendships in a Centering Pregnancy group!
