Catherine Maloney is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Luminis Health and President of Anne Arundel Medical Center. She joined Luminis Health in September of 2025 and oversees system-wide hospital operations and leads enterprise functions including Quality and Patient Safety, Information Technology, and Human Resources.  

A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience, Catherine specializes in leading complex organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and integration and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Emory University Hospital and Emory University Orthopaedics and Spine Hospital. Prior to her leadership roles, she spent the first decade of her career as a treating physical therapist in a variety of settings.

Catherine was recognized with Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award in 2011 from Georgia American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2026 Catherine was recognized as part of Baltimore Business Journal PowerShift class.

Catherine received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from University of Tennessee, her Master of Physical Therapy from Emory University and her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on numerous non-profit boards. Catherine and her husband reside in Annapolis and are the proud parents of two daughters.
