All applicants must apply through the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The NRMP program code is 1942220C0.

To address growing challenges in the residency application and interview process, the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) have proposed specialty-wide standards for the OB-GYN residency programs. Anne Arundel Medical Center's Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program will follow these recommendations:

  1. The application deadline is October 1, 2023.
Applications will only be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
  2. The number of interview invitations will be limited to the number of interview slots available and applicants will have at a minimum of 48 hours to respond to an invitation.
  3. Applicants who have not been offered an interview will be notified of their final status by December 2, 2023 (Interview, Wait-listed or Rejected).
  4. Interview offers will be released on October 24, 2023. Interviews will begin November 2, 2023.

In addition to the Match policy Code of Conduct, the Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) OB/Gyn Residency Program would like to address our policy on a few common questions around what communication applicants should expect from our program.

Does LHAAMC accept pre-interview communication from, or on the behalf of, applicants?
Yes

If I don’t receive an interview invite on October 24, 2023, what should I do?
If you are not offered an interview on October 24, you may be on the waitlist. All candidates will be notified of their final status by December 2, 2023 (Invited, Waitlisted, or Rejected).

How will the Waitlist work and how will I be notified if I am Waitlisted?
After initial invites are released on October 24, 2023, and candidates have had a minimum of 48 hours to respond, a waitlist will only be used in the case of unfilled interview slots. Should an interview slot(s) become available a notification will go out via Thalamus.

Does LHAAMC accept thank you notes?
Yes

Does LHAAMC expect a thank you note from me?
No

Does LHAAMC accept post-interview communication from, or on the behalf of, applicants?
Yes

Should an applicant expect post-interview communication from LHAAMC?
No. Unless you reach out with a specific question you should not expect any communication from LHAAMC after your interview.

Policy on In-Person Visits:
We recognize the importance of in-person visits; however, to provide all candidates a comparable Match opportunity we are not offering in-person visits.

Wishing all of you a constructive Match season!
