If you live with chronic, non-healing wounds , even a simple blister can be a problem. With most wounds, healing is brief, simple and predictable. But if you’re one of the 26 million Americans with diabetes who are at the greatest risk for chronic wounds, have poor blood circulation or have been immobile for long periods of time — you need specialized care.

Our team of specialists will design a personal treatment plan for you that works to cure your chronic wounds before they progress to more serious stages.

Our Approach

In our wound management program, your care includes:

• Complete evaluation.
• Compression therapy (using specially designed socks or stockings to support your veins and increase circulation).
• Debridement (removal of damaged tissue).
• Help understanding your condition and treatment options.
• Infection control.
• Non-invasive vascular studies (tests to measure your blood flow).
• Procedures to prevent the recurrence of wounds.
• Revascularization (restoring blood flow to an organ).
• Skin-grafting (tissue/skin transplant).
• State-of-the-art wound healing technology.

In front of the Clatanoff Pavilion entrance closest to the Wound Center, two spots are designated are clearly marked with a sign for “AAMC Wound Center Patient Parking Only."

If you have mobility issues the team will issue you a parking pass.

Patients without mobility issues can park in any hospital parking garage they choose, Garage C being the closest to the Wound Center.

From Annapolis and the Eastern Shore Route 50 West to Jennifer Road, Exit 23A Turn left at the light on to Jennifer Road. Turn right at the light on Medical Parkway. Turn right at the next light. Park in GARAGE C. From Washington, D.C., and Points West Route 50 East to Parole exit (Exit 23). Bear right onto West Street. Turn right onto Jennifer Road. Turn left at traffic light onto Medical Parkway. Turn right at the next light. Park in GARAGE C. From Baltimore Route 97 South to Route 50 East to Parole exit (Exit 23). Turn right onto West Street then right onto Jennifer Road. Turn left at traffic light onto Medical Parkway. Turn right at the next light. Park in GARAGE C.

Garage A
From Annapolis and the Eastern Shore Route 50 West to Jennifer Road, Exit 23A. Continue straight on to Pavilion Parkway. Make immediate right onto Izzo Way. Follow signs to GARAGE A.
