Bio
Dr. Holton is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He has extensive experience in reconstructive microvascular surgery including reconstruction of the head, neck, breast and extremities.
Dr. Holton’s practice currently focuses on breast reconstruction, body contouring procedures, facial aesthetics and reconstruction of the face after Mohs surgery. He is also active in research in the areas of biomaterials, biotechnology and clinical outcomes related to emerging techniques and technologies.
He holds a medical degree from Temple University where he won prizes for the top student in physiology and surgery. He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Maryland/R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, including a two year research fellowship in tissue engineering at the Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. Following residency he completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland combined plastic surgery residency.
Dr. Holton has published more than 50 peer reviewed articles related to plastic surgery and he is a nationally recognized lecturer in oncoplastic surgery, perfusion mapping and reconstruction of the breast with pre-pectoral direct-to-implant reconstruction after nipple-sparing mastectomy.
