Ian Shantz, MD, attended the McMaster University in Ontario, Canada for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Shantz received his medical degree from the University of Toronto School of Medicine. Dr. Shantz completed his residency training in family medicine at Queens University Family Medicine in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Shantz worked with King Medical Clinic, Columbia Medical Plan and Potomac Physicians prior to opening his practice. He offers a strong medical knowledge in the management of chronic disease, office surgical procedures and using the latest medical technology to improve patient care. In his free time he enjoys canoeing, involvement with his church, cooking, woodworking, and cycling.
