Dr. Brader completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1982 and, a residency in General Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1987. Following the completion of his residency, Dr. Brader completed a fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care Surgery at Lehigh Valley Area Hospital in 1988. From 2004 to 2015, he held the following academic positions: Director of Bariatric Surgery and Assistant Professor of Surgery at West Virginia University Hospital, Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery and Vice Chairman of Surgery at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Lancaster General Hospital, Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery and Medical Staff President at Barix Clinics in Langhorne PA. Dr. Brader actively practiced trauma surgery throughout his residency, fellowship and private practice for over 20 years at both level I and level II trauma centers. In 2015 Dr. Brader elected to return to general/acute care/trauma surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both surgery and surgical critical care.
